Euan Morton is Hamilton's next King George III
The Broadway cast of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Tony Award-winning smash hit musical Hamilton will welcome Tony nominee Euan Morton as King George III from July 28, 2017, at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Three-time Tony nominee Brian d’Arcy James, who originated the role at the Public Theater premiere in 2015 and returned for the Broadway production on April 14, 2017, will play his final performance on July 16, 2017.
Euan Morton earned a Tony nomination in 2004 for "Best Actor in a Musical" for his performance as George in 'Taboo.' He originated the role and earned an Olivier Award nomination in London in 2002. Other Broadway credits include 'Sondheim on Sondheim' (2010), and 'Cyrano de Bergerac' (2007).
The current cast of Hamilton includes Javier Muñoz (Alexander Hamilton), two-time Tony nominee Brandon Victor Dixon (Aaron Burr), Lexi Lawson (Eliza Hamilton), Mandy Gonzalez (Angelica Schuyler), Bryan Terrell Clark (George Washington), Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart (Marques de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson), Anthony Lee Medina (John Laurens/Phillip Hamilton), J. Quinton Johnson (James Madison/Hercules Mulligan), Alysha Deslorieux (Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds), and three-time Tony nominee Brian d'Arcy James (King George).
The Broadway production of Hamilton officially opened on August 6, 2015 to excellent reviews, following previews from July 13, and is currently booking through to March 4, 2018.
Hamilton features a book, music, and lyrics by Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, and is inspired by the book "Alexander Hamilton" by Ron Chernow.

Hamilton is directed by Thomas Kail, with music direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, and sound design by Nevin Steinberg.
Hamilton is produced on Broadway by The Public Theater, Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs and Jill Furman.
