Elizabeth Rex at Center Stage

Nicu's Spoon presents Elizabeth Rex, by Timothy Findley, opening at Center Stage on 16 Aug 2008, following previews from 13 Aug and running through to 6 Sep 2008.

Elizabeth Rex: On the eve prior to the dawn execution of Robert, Earl of Essex, for treason, Shakespeare and his company of actors are at court. Under curfew in a barn, with the Queen, through her restless night as she struggles with the decision she has made to behead her beloved "Robin".

Directed by Joanne Zipay, Elizabeth Rex features Melanie Horton, Stephanie Barton-farcas, Rebecca Challis, Oliver Conant, Michael Digioia, Bill Galarno, Andrew Hutcheson, Merle Louise, Sammy Mena, Scott Nogi, Tim Romero, Alvaro Sena and David Tully.

The creative team comprises John Trevellini & Gabrielle Montgomery (sets), Rien Schlecht (costumes), Steven Wolf (lighting) and Damon Law (sound).
