Shatner’s World arives on Broadway in Feb

As previously rumored William Shatnal will star on Broadway in his own one-man show, Shatner’s World: We Just Live in It, playing a limited engagment at the Music Box Theatre, opening on 16 Feb 2012, following previews from 14 Feb, and closing on 4 Mar 2012.

The two-hour show will take audiences on a voyage through Shatner’s life and career, from Shakespearean stage actor to internationally known icon and raconteur, known as much for his unique persona as for his expansive body of work on television and film.

Returning to Broadway for the first time since 1962, William Shatner says, “I've been pretty busy since I last played the Music Box. I've been refurbished; I hope the theatre has been too. My plan has always been to return to Broadway every 50 years. I can’t ask my fans to wait for me longer than Halley’s Comet, so I’m coming back. "

William Shatner is best known as 'Captain Jame Kirk' from the iconic science-fiction TV series "Star Trek, " a role he repeated in four Star-Trek movies. OTher notable TV work includes playing 'Denny Crane' in 'Boston Legal' for which he won an Emmy Award, and was nomiated for a further four. He recently starred as 'Dr. Edison Milford Goodson III' in the sit-com '$#*! My Dad Says,' which won the 2011 People's Choice Awards for Favorite New TV Comedy.

Shatner’s World: We Just Live in It is produced by Innovation Arts & Entertainment, Larry A Thompson Organization, Adam Troy Epstein, Larry A Thompson, Seth Keyes, and Josh Sherman.
