Outside People extends run by one week

Vineyard Theatre and Naked Angels' world premiere production of Zayd Dohrn's Outside People extends its run by one week, and will now play through to 4 Feb 2012.

The play opened at the Vineyard Theatre on 10 Jan 2012, following previews from 21 Dec 2011, and was originally scheduled to close on 29 Jan 2012.

Outside People: The story of a young American man, Malcolm, who falls in love with a Chinese woman, Xiao Mei. But as his eyes open to the social, political and economic forces that inform their relationship, he must confront his complex place in a foreign culture, the friendship that brought him there, and his own deepest fears and desires.

Directed by Evan Cabnet, the cast features Matthew Dellapina, Nelson Lee, Li Jun Li and Sonequa Martin-Green.

The creative team includes set design by Takeshi Kata, costume design by Jessica Wegener Shay, lighting by Ben Stanton and sound by Jill BC DuBoff.
