Dateline.com reports that Robert Zemeckis, writer and director of the 1985 movie Back to the Future, is hoping to adapt the film into a Broadway musical. There has been no official confirmation.
A revival of Frank Wildhorn’s Jekyll & Hyde is expected to arrive on B'way in the Spring of 2013, starring Constantine Maroulis as 'Dr. Jekyll/Mr Hyde,' directed & choreographed by Jeff Calhoun.
Nicolas Sparks, author of the 1996 novel The Notebook, which was latter adapted into a movie in 2004, has told CBS's The Early Show that a Broadway musical adaptation is in the works.
The NY Times reports that a re-vamped vesion of Flashdance the Musical, based on the 1983 movie, and which played in London in 2010, will arrive on B'way in the fall of 2012.
