From the 1985 movie Back to the Future"

Dateline.com reports that Robert Zemeckis, writer and director of the 1985 movie Back to the Future, is holding talks with the film's co-writer Bob Gale and its composer, Alan Silvestri, to adapt the film into a Broadway musical. There has been no official confirmation.

Back to the Future tells the story of 'Marty McFly' (Played by Michael J Fox in the movie), a typical American teenager of the Eighties, who is accidentally sent back to 1955 in a plutonium-powered DeLorean "time machine" invented by slightly mad scientist 'Dr. Emmett Brown' (played by Christopher Lloyd in the movie). While in 1955 Marty accidentally prevents his parents from meeting, putting his own existence at stake. During his trip back in time, Marty must make certain his teenage parents-to-be meet and fall in love - before he can go back to the future.

Director Robert Zemeckis won an Oscar for his helming of the film "Forest Gump." Other movie credits include "Back to the Future Part II," "The Polar Express," "Who Framed Roger Rabbit," "Death Becomes Her" and "Cast Away."
