Spider-man: Marvel comics confirm that Bono and the Edge from U2 are to write the music and lyrics for a musical about the Marvel super-hero, Spider-man. The musical, which is having a reading in New York on 12 and 13 Jul, will be directed by Julie Taymor.

Equus, the play which caused controversy because actor Daniel Radcliffe, he of Harry Potter fame, appears in full nudity, is to open on Broadway in Spring 2008. There has been no confirmation of cast, but it is thought that Radcliffe and the show's other star, Richard Griffiths, will revive their roles for Broadway.
